HWYCOM Universal Systems, LP is a producer of quality fiberglass breakaway sign supports and barricades.

HWYCOM's Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) sign support system consists of a patented three (3) inch diameter Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic hollow post and approved anchor system. It is a proven long-life sign support system with UV protection. This system is easy to install and maintain in both rural and urban applications, and is available in safety yellow, gray, brown, or green.

The HWYCOM system has proven benefits for sign crews, pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcyclists, vehicle operators and vehicle occupants. The system can be installed in a long-life reusable concrete foundation, or drivable base. Installation can be performed by a one-person crew, thus minimizing maintenance costs and the risk of worker injury.

The single sign support is approved for 16 square foot signs and dual post systems are approved for 32 square foot signs.

The HWYCOM system is approved by the Texas Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration for use on all streets and highways. Additionally, the Texas Transportation Institute at Texas A & M University certified the units for compliance with NCHRP 350 on both single and double post small sign support installations.
